Bubblestreet comic blues and pencil sketch
These rough sketches definitely show the creation process as I start with a light blue pencil, then draw out the panels in pencil. Yes you’ll certainly see some changes and errors at this stage in the birth of a comic strip.
All artwork is 12.75 inches by 5 inches on an 8.5 inches by 14 inches paper.

Bubblestreet comic ink drawings. I create the final linework for my comics with brush and india ink. Usually the comic idea is complete before I start inking, but you will notice that the fish thought bubbles are often added in at this stage. I guess flipkick always gets the last word.
